Yeah, I've seen the same thing, but on all makes of bike - like Pat stated. I've noticed more 'cruiser' bikes wandering all over their lane while I was trying to stay 'in formation' behind them. I've seen them come up behind me, directly behind me and stay there as if to say that I was in their part...

My ride to work today proved that my antenna on my headlight is not the most ideal location. I'll try moving it up to one of the reservoirs today. To get things going yesterday I had to remove my sport screen. The ride in today was nice - it seemed to give the bike a different attitude. I'll leave i...

Funny, I just came in from the garage from working on my bike - just mounted my Sirius receiver. I'll have to 'road test' the antenna location tomorrow. I'll try to snap some pics later.

Cheer up the roadster and bring her to the Hungry Mother ride! I guess you'll be welcome on the K-R also.

Wow - summer's almost over! I finally posted the pics from this trip. Memorial Day in Cass, WV Sorry it took so long. I took my son with me on the roadster, and one of my good friends Alex, on his K1200GT. The cabin was well, cozy. One main room which served as the kitchen/dining/living room, and tw...

Yeah, I think gearing and redline wouldn't let that happen!

But it sounded good.

Wow - great photos, wish I could've been there (minus the rain)! I just got back earlier today from two weeks without touching the bike!  I'll be back on it first thing tomorrow morning and I can't wait. It's good to see Mike hasn't traded the R in on the K1200R yet! Brian, I'm seeing ...

WV is great for motorcycles. You can't go wrong. We are planning a camping trip (motels are near by) in Marion, VA in late August if you're interested in joining us. If the ride is planned as last year, we will be riding in southwest VA and TN.

Since I have the semi-linked ABS, I only use the front brake when I need it. I typically downshift but at my last service the svc manager said downshifting is probably the biggest cause of rear tire wear on the R's. He said 'chopping' the throttle closed wears the tire more than hard accelleration. ...

Memorial day in West VA

A last minute opportunity came up for the weekend and I wanted to get away so I figured I would try a much smaller Ease beakster bash II. I plannedon heading down to the Durbin/Bartow area and stay overnight with my son. Thursday afternoon I was having a hard time findin a place to stay. To sum it u...

Last week I changed my first tire - the front. I should've started doing this about 10 tire changes ago but sometimes I'm a little slow. :smt021 I picked up a few tire irons from a local dealer (need three) and a wheel balancer from ebay. Googled motorcycle tire change and went from there. I have al...

I've been commuting for the past seven years on a bike. I have three reasons:
1) Use of express HOV lanes = no traffic
2) Save on gas
3) Free parking in the city (when I can avoid tickets).

Lately reason #2 is really worth it.

Darn right - I warm everything up before changing it - including the trans and final drive. I just got done doing all oils this weekend - 24k check. I took someone's advice this time (I think it was cyclerob) to tilt the bike to the right towards the end of the drain to get the last little bit.
