I had the same problem. I called my ISP (Bellsouth) and there were different settings for T'Bird vs OE. I would've never known otherwise.
Sounds like a call to tech support.

Here's what I did. I found the well-nut, washer and screws at my local dealer--Hebert Cycles in Baton Rouge. My bracket IS the new design with the ridges and the long well-nut. I cleaned the socket with rubbing alcohol and then applied a little contact cement inside and reassembled. I think it would...

I know it may be heresy to say this, but this appears to be a bad design. Why not a thru and thru bolt with rubber bushing?
Has anyone drilled thru the bracket to do that?

touring windscreen bolts lost

I finally got a roadster--a beautiful Peidmont red 2004 used--5k miles--that appears pretty damn flawless. It came with a touring windscreen and Laminar Lip. Today I noticed that the two retaining bolts on the left were missing--bolt, black retaining washer, molly -all of it. I checked the right sid...

Ok, what I've gleaned from this discussion is: of course learning and practicing proper braking technique is something all riders should aspire to. and ABS may help in rare, but not impossible, situations. IN addition, not everyone who rides will achieve perfection in all circumstances, though there...

Ok, I will up the ante on this topic. I have been using as a source of "safety" information the "accident risk" rating on bikez.com. This is probably not any better than testimonials, but is is a number that purports to give relative safety ratings. The RR gets an 86 -- don't kno...

The reason this comes up is because the used bikes with ABS seem to sell at a real premium; sometimes as much a $2k more on a 2004 model. That's quite a chunk. I suppose this is a decision only I can make, but I certainly appreciate the input of the "cognescente." But if anyone knows of a ...

Another ABS question

For a novice rider, for whom safety is paramount, would you consider lack of ABS on a RR as a dealbreaker?

I would not under any circumstances consider a car without ABS, but should that mindset carry over to an RR?

r1150r registry?

does anyone have a link for the r1150r registry? I have found one that is really sparsely populated, can't be the right one? It is the micapeak.com site.

Is this the only one?

ABS changes over the years??

Have there been any changes to performance/technology of the ABS system in the RR's between 2002 and 2004?

TIA

I second the rec for the Rev'it gloves--Hurricane. They seem to be well made and flow air well here in hot and humid New Orleans. From the web site I recall them $49. They tend to run a little on the small size.
