Re: Forum Functioning ?

And I look in occasionally.......
It would be better for me if I could post pics straight from my iPhone. I’ve plenty of gear I’ve made that’s bike related which have all a story to tell but because of that I use this forum very little.

I did think about him recently and asked the same question in my mind. If you google him he doesn’t appear on anything else out there

Googled it!!
The colours are quite striking and they too pretty much worked with the std ‘Rockster’ theme.

Re: Ice Blue Rockster

Well I’m looking forward to another year with the ‘Ice Blue’. I treated myself to an F800gt a few months ago as I do like a frugal bike but it’s time to ride the ‘Torque’ and feel the shove even though it’s crap on fuel @ only 35mpg or less!

Heated gear, would you use a volt/amp meter?

As title. I’ve recently treated myself to a premium heated jacket (yet to install) and already have heated grips on several bikes but I’d feel happier if I could monitor the consumption it all uses together. Has anyone had any satisfaction from either a voltmeter or an ammeter as they both do a diff...

Re: The best motorcycle

Back to what I’ve said in the upper post, I’ve just stumbled on a high mileage f800gt pampered to death example with no expense spared at handy money so I’ve just added it to my fleet. Not even rode it yet due to weather and had it a fortnight!!

Errr, the K just got a new tyre, the Rockster is sulking in the corner, and it's peeing it down.

Re: thoughts on 2011 Classic with $38K miles

What happened to the laced wheels? That to me is the nicest bit that makes the classic, bit like a hot dog with onions, mustard and ketchup but no SAUSAGE!! As for mileage, its a little up on there but looking at it the previous owner formed a lasting bond with it so look at it in a good way and at ...

Re: Where to get Decals other than OEM

I repainted mine using the same scheme but I’ve altered the colours. I went over the top of the existing colour blocks and just replaced the ‘r1150r’ decals. They were exact copies although I requested them in bright red to go with my scheme. I have a spare set in a two colour set which was slightly...

Just drop the alternator belt for a short while and see what new sounds are then. It’ll run fine without a belt for a short while

Re: Ice Blue Rockster

Satins and matts in my view tend to be more high maintenance than a deep gloss when older and it’s a fashion phase for designers to do when all else is done. A deep gloss still has a feeling of luxury about it and it’s shine highlights shapes very well.

Couldn't agree more. But it's so much fun to ride them hard. I always ride the ugly thing hard!! It then leaves me with a smile on my face for which I then accept its looks! Oh and yes I get low 30’s mpg Now now...R1150s have feelings   too. I personally think it’s one of the best...
