I thought the Anakee 3 were decent for road and gravel riding on the 800GS, but I just mounted a set of Motor TractionatorGPS tires on the 800. I only have 50 miles on them, but they seem good so far.

Never had an issue with the shafts, or seals on the shocks on the R1150R(even riding it on dirt and gravel roads

I was always a fan of the Bridgestone T30. The price was good enough that the 3 rear to 2 front wear rsatio was still a better price I never found them lacking for traction

I had a similar issue, and did the canisterectomy. Bike ran fine after that. No leaks from under the engine in 87k miles on the silver R and none in the 17k on the red r. I used Mobil 1 oil the whole time. I did have some leak from forgetting to put the fill cap on once. LOL
