Re: Tire Replacement - Alternatives to a BMW shop
Well, it took a side track to Monticello, MN but the fine folks at Moon Motorsports had me in/out in 40min on Friday morning. =D> =D> But what's a sidetrack here and there?!? :D Then I wandered off and went too far north and had a good time in the middle of Minnesota! Wheeeeee!!!! Glad you go...

Air Intake In Wet Weather
On July 13th a friend and I are heading up to Toronto Canada for a week to hang out in the city (I went to university there) and also do a two day trip up North to and along the Trans Canada Highway. Total trip is estimated at around 2200 miles. I've not ridden my bike for long periods of heavy rain...

Re: woo-hoo!
Its great to get excited about one's bike. I'm sure the suspension upgrade will be serious bucks? $1.5K? Enjoy your trip in June and take lots of pics to share here. I have a trip planned with a buddy, we're headed to Toronto Canada for a total of 6 days including a two day road trip upto and along ...

Re: Still waiting.......
I know its tough waitng but it will be worth it. I ordered mine in mid Dec 2011 and it arrived at my dealer in mid March 2012. I took delivery on March 31st 2012. I had them install several accessories for me and order me two BMW riding suits. I have now just crossed 2K miles and love this bike the ...

Very nice... I keep putting off trying this screen but after another few of these windy-ass days I'm getting closer. Love the look too. Thanks for the pic! It will really transform your highway stints as you won't be getting blown around. I'm planning a 600 mile trip up to Toronto Canada in July an...

Re: New VStream Z2443 Installed Yesterday
Very encouraging report. Aesthetically, I like the look. Practically, I think the mini-lowers will help reduce the buffeting some are experiencing. I learned this lesson with naked Moto Guzzis, BTW. This is a new series of Ztechnic windshields, no? The middle height looks like the one for me. Chuck...

New VStream Z2443 Installed Yesterday
Early yesterday morning I rode from Norfolk MA where I live to Max BMW near Portsmouth NH, about a 87 mile ride each way. It also happened to be 32F (0C) so I layered up four layers deep and then my Tourance 2 cold weather riding suit. Unfortunatly by the time I got there I was shivering and had tro...

Re: Anyone Used This Shield?
Hi All, I have an appointment scheduled on April 28th to get the sport screen installed (http://shop.nationalcycle.com/perl/cycle/Z2443) number Z2443 which is 14" tall and 14" wide. A BMW dealer in New Hampshire is a partner and they do the install. If you're not happy within 30 days you c...

Cool setup. If you don't mind me asking, what was total cost including installation (unless you did it yourself)? Thanks.websterize wrote: More nav pics in the link below my signature.

Re: Question for those that have wrecked an R1200R.
Glad to hear you walked away relatively unscathed. A bike can always be fixed or replaced but a person not so much. Like others have said, we all pay a lot for insurance so go get a new bike instead of dealing with potential issues on a repaired bike. Good luck either way.

Re: Finally - My Bike Is In My Garage
I'm really interested in the fog lights and the way they mount. Whose are they? the P-3's will be on mine also. Please advise? Hi rokinrider, The light came as a kit which I had to order from Germany. There were no distributers in the US. On the plus side, because I'm out of EU they dropped the EU ...

Finally - My Bike Is In My Garage
I've been posting here for several months, ordered my bike in early Dec last year after a test ride in Oct last year. The bike arrived at the dealer about 3 weeks ago and I had several items I wanted them to install for me before delivery. I am terrible with electronics and didn't trust myself to me...

Is the bag on the back of your bike the BMW bag? I'm going to be doing a trip in two months and was thinking of buying the BMW bag that looks like that. Its supposedly waterproof. Thanks. Thank you, glad you guys and gals like. The 12R is pretty photogenic! ;) That bigger bag is a Ortieb D-Fender b...
