Re: Initial Report:Conti Road Attacks
i, too, was underwhelmed by the Z6s. I like the Z4s. On many occasions, the Z6s would either be slow to turn in or the rear would break loose under a heavy emergency braking. I hope the contis are better in the winter than described. I do know that they have been modified since inception due to some...

Re: Initial Report:Conti Road Attacks
bruno, I must say that the roads you talk about are where I really notice the greatness of this tire! I had always thought that the Z6s were better than predecessors and other makes/models when you would ride over grated bridges, grooved pavement, etc. These Conti Road attacks make those Z6s feel do...

Initial Report:Conti Road Attacks
Ok, so I posted a poll last month asking about tire recommendations. The Z6 from metzler was the overwhelming vote getter...but i think it's because most people have them on their bike currently, not cause it's the best. I personally thought the Z6 was overall underwhelming. It was great on uneven s...

Re: somebody clarify tire replacements for the bike!
I wound up buying a set of conti road attacks...the one tire not on the list!
I'll let you know what I think.
I did NOT care for the Z6s when the condition of the road/weather was in question. not as sure feeling as I would like. also did not like to fall in as easy as I wanted.

yes you should buy it if you want it. you wouldn't buy a bike you didn't like if it were inexpensive, would you?
i'm quite sure you can find a bike in your price range...without a doubt.
it's a great bike. buy it and ride it like you stole it.

man, so many options...
ok, if you wanted a street tire that had the following qualities, what tire would you recommend?
1)decent mileage(7K+) on the rear
2) excellent traction for twisties
3) excellent traction for wet roads
4) minimizes cupping/midline flattening
let's hear it

re: your nutz
the stock seat definitely does that. get a sargent seat or other aftermarket seat. they're better. still will get some jewel compression but much better

re-chrome the speedo???
so the back of my speedo is showing the poor european dna in it's chrome plating. some pitting going on and what looks like may be the early signs of peel.

Re: Z6...whoa! wire/cords showing 210 miles after checking!
my tire's only sign seemed to be the widening bald spot along the midline. I did hit some highway repair sections on the way home and i'm sure the grating of the road sped things up. hey anyone who wants to answer...can I add a tire other than the Z6 to the rear if I keep the Z6 on the front? also, ...

Z6...whoa! wire/cords showing 210 miles after checking!
I was at the bash last week, my Z6 rear looked fine before and during. Ride home the 220 miles and... nice metal wires or cords showing through in the middle of the tire. I've been keeping proper tire pressure but i think I only got about 7K on this tire! I guess with the crappy roads and la...
