Re: Travels with Stella! Arkansas, again.

Great writing, John. That must have been great being able to help John with the hang gliding. I agree with you about Arkansas. It is a great place to ride. The lack of traffic and driveways on their best roads makes it a perfect getaway for me also. It's about 350 miles for me before I get to the go...

Re: BB7 Harriman, Tennessee

I made it home today! 2896 miles total. I probably could have made it home yesterday but the rain on Sunday cut me to half a day and the Natchez Trace with all those pull outs to view and the speed limit to obey......... well, it delayed me by a few hours so I left Alexandria, LA this a.m. and made ...

Re: Photos From Harriman Bash

Just checking in. I've been stopped since 2:00 this afternoon, but did not have wifi until about 20 minutes ago. I think the storms had something to do with that! Last night when I looked at the weather radar, I saw just a slice of a clearing for this morning as my only way of leaving Harriman witho...

Re: Final Days - Harriman Bash - Final Planning

I left Monday morning. I camped with storms in Oklahoma Monday night. Fought fog and rain through Arkansas Tuesday, Traveled beautiful roads in southern Missouri Wednesday and ended up in Kentucky last night. I fought a racoon all last night who kept trying to mess with my bike. Then, I accidentally...

Re: 30 Days to Bash 7 - Harriman, TN May 13-16

At least your TENTATIVE is defnitive, Mac. Sorry your plans got derailed, Al. Regarding my plans, all I know so far is that my bike is ready with new tires, has had it's 30,000 mile service done recently, has a new piece of luggage for this trip and it is running great. I don't know my route yet, bu...

Re: Travels with Stella! Arkansas, again.

Loving the start of this report, Doc. Your writing and story telling sets the bar high for future ride reports. And the photos are rich and supplemt the mood and textures of the towns you just described. I like the fire hydrant pic. There is a really nice depth of color in your photos Thanks for tak...

.... Anybody scouted any real barbecue places? By real, I mean the ones you can smell from a significant distance and that actually have smoke wafting out from somewhere out back, employees that look like they like to eat and customers that do too. DLS It's Tennessee, Daryl. Not TEXas. ;) :smt064

Re: From the Sharaton Chicago

Nice! I've been to Chicago once. It was very nice. I couldn't tell you where in Chicago I was, but there were some very nice shopping and dining - and that's all I remember. Oh - and I saw the play "Wicked" while I was there, too. Even got the t-shirt to prove it! The photos are nice. Nice...

Re: New S1000RR launch

Cool video, but I wish they had shown more of the bike.
I sat on an S1000RR in Las Vegas last week. It fit me well and tempted me just as well. But so did the HP2 Sport.

Re: Georgia Club Ride to Cedar Key Florida

Nice Phil - Looks like you got to do and see a lot in just one day there. I lived along the Suwannee River for a couple of years, but never got down to Cedar Key. Looks like a nice place to visit. What was the temp change from the time you left to the time you arrived at Cedar Key?

Not a trip report. Definitely not a beach report. It's a weather report! Blue Skies, Sunny, Warm - - and it's headed your way ! Finally! It's been a long cold winter, and it's great to be riding again! Just sayin'...... http://2ksconcepts.smugmug.com/Motorcycles/2010-Rides/MG3150/791875189_nESXV-L.j...

Re: 100 Days Until Harriman Bash

Bah! Who needs that old dragon anyway! Not that I'm going, but the riders in this group are skilled riders and experts in navigation - - all those other bike rallies and gatherings will pale in comparison to the kind of riding that will be done when the 'beaksters' plan a Bash!
