Re: Product Reviews?

That would definitely give the wrong impression. I'm not buying, selling, or trading the gear I test - I make videos to supplement the articles I publish in print in Motorcycle Consumer News, Rider, BMW Owner's News, and elsewhere. Putting the vids there would insinuate that I'm selling the gear I'm...

Product Reviews?

Hi Guys-

Where do I post future product reviews that apply to all the different R-bikes? Things like jackets, overpants, gloves, helmets, etc? I have a few, just like the Remus vid I just posted. I even have a 2013 R1200R in the background of some of them!

Remus Hexacone Titanium Slip-On Exhaust Review (RT)

Hi All-

Here's a new review I put together on the Remus Hexacone Titanium Slip On as shown on a R1200RT-LC. I imagine it would sound similar on an R1200R-LC. Check it out and let me know what you think. Thanks!

Re: Glad To Be Back - And Fender Extender Q

MaMo doesn't have an Avant due to low sales volume of the model. So, we ordered a Touratech protector, just in case. Plus, it looks cool!

Re: Glad To Be Back - And Fender Extender Q

Thanks. I'm going to see if Machineart has something in the works. The Avants they have are much nicer than these old Pyramid drill-type units.

Glad To Be Back - And Fender Extender Q

Hi R Riders- I used to frequent here often when my wife had her R1150R. 2 kids later, she's given up riding for now, but my friend Matt just traded in his 2005 F650CS for a 2013 R1200R 90th Anni edition. SWEET bike! Anyway, I'm wondering if there are any front fender extensions available.... The bot...

Re: Changing Footpeg Location on 2004 R1150R

Guys- These are nice passenger peg relocators and all, but the R1150R in question is her bike, as in she's riding it herself. I'm proud to say she's no wallflower! Anyway, I've seen some nice products from Suburban Machinery, but the footpeg kit + shifter peg extenion kit is about $275.00 all told. ...

Thank you for your replies. :D Since the Odyssey is priced quite a bit higher than other batteries with similar Amp hour & Cold Cranking Amps, what makes the Odyssey so much better? That's a long and complicated answer if we get into the technicalities of it - here's something I just published ...

Changing Footpeg Location on 2004 R1150R

Hello All-

My fiance has been complaining of late that she feels cramped on her '04 R-bike. She'd like to move the footpegs down and forward about 1-2 inches. Does anyone make a kit that allows for such an operation? Thanks!

+1 for the Aeroflow. Here is the one we use on Terri's 2004 R1150R - http://www.mklsportster.com/r1150r/aflow.jpg - Taken many highway trips with speeds well in excess of 80mph continuous for hours on end. It's night and day difference compared to the BMW "Touring" shield the bike came wit...

Using a High Wattage H4 Headlight Bulb

All- My GF has been complaining recently about the dismal light output of her R1150R's single H4. Actually, her H4 is a 55/60W PIAA I took from my old Sportster before I sold it. The low beam just burned out on it, and it's time for a new H4. I used to use a high wattage bulb (80/100W) in my Sportst...

Quick update - just got off the phone with Aeroflow and they DO have versions available for use with Barbacks. Still curious if anyone is using a different setup, though. Details and pics would be nice!

Shield Recommendations - Maximum Protection with Barbacks

All- My GF and I are going on a cross country tour next year, and she wants to set her 2004 R1150R up as a Mini-RT of sorts for maximum protection from the elements. She has Moto-Techniques Bar-backs on the way, which according to Aeroflow's website prohibit use of their Touring windshield. The Aero...

Full Size Touring Windshield Options

Hello All- New member here. Long story short, my girlfriend and I just got some 2004 Oilheads - mine, an RT, and hers, and pristine R with only 5,000 miles on it. It also has BMW's "Touring" windshield. We got the oilheads to supplement our Airheads because we're planning a cross country t...
