Re: Tire recommendation(s)?
hey riceburner, he said NO sport riding! And you suggest pirellis? You will have a hard time finding 'cheap' tires for these bikes. I love my continental road attacks, but they are made for agressive riding, but that just means they handle everything well. The bridgestone line will be amon...

ummm, ferrari uses quirky state as OEM. i personally don't use it, but if it's good enough for a $200K+ italian, it should be fine for our kraut-mounts.bransan wrote: As long as you change it regularly you can probably run penz or quirky state.

freakin' horn on the fritz
horn doesn't work when needed. if steering is turned hard left, it mostly works. it may also work 5% when steering is straight on. seems like a trouble with the electrical wire, no? but could it also be the switch? how do you narrow down where a short would be? Or do I get a new aftermarket horn tha...

10 x 3000 = 30000 right? lol  you can negotiate more than that. the gas crisis is hitting the truck makers and dealers hard. you can get them for a song. Dodge trucks are reduced $7k in NY, and that's from the factory. You may be asked to return your democratic voters registration card if you b...

Re: is this the best bike ever?
Cam is such a contrarian. friend loves his blackbird. the guys at the bash prolly remember that black beast. our bike may very well be the best all-arounder unless you have to travel fire-roads often. THEN the GS may be the bike, but the KTM is probably better in the muck and the Triumph Tiger will ...

i lowered the pipe with a kit from Wudo cause I picked up a used set of bags with the full left. personally, i need the full size as I tend to overpack. i feel that with the high pipe, the original left bag is worthless. I also use the skinny city lids for around town and with the high pipe, you've ...

I use firstgear two piece. cost me about$75 at a rally. has vented holes in the back and velcro for over the zippers. goes over my first gear kilimanjaro suit fine. gives me extra wetness protection for those not so fresh days.
