Re: DIY and glad
I too just did my first complete major service on my R. Bought myself all the needed kit and nice to have stuff (lift, tire changer, GS911 and Twin Max) as a retirement gift to myself. The DIY section over on the MOA is very helpful. Takes you thru every procedure in easy to follow steps. (includes ...

Re: magnetic tank bag
No doubt this is generally true. I use one on my RR and have not noticed any paint issues, but I have a matte finish. I would be very concerned about it's scratching a shiny black tank.Ric wrote:One thing about magnetic tank bags.....the magnets pick up grit which will then scratch your paint.

Congratulations!!!! She is a beauty. Now you can start buying her pretty things; kinda like buying a hot woman lingerie. And just like lingerie, it makes her feel better about herself and the entire experience better for you.

Hmmm. I don't know how his became a new thread. I was trying to respond to stanh's post on another thread in which he shows his new Corbin (Mail order "custom" seat?).... guess I pushed the wrong button.

Re: Where can I get Wunderlich parts?
I've purchased all my Wunderlich kit online through the Wunderlich America web site (http://wunderlichamerica.com/). Go to that site and push the "How to Shop" button on the menu bar across the top and it will show you their dealers. These guys are closest to you: Morton’s BMW 5099A Jeffer...

My wife and I have 4 Corbin seats on our bikes, including a seat like yours on my R12R. You may have heard that they take awhile to break-in; I have found this to be true. It can take as much as 2000 miles for the seat to adjust to you. Corbin tends to use a stiffer foam than most, although I read s...

Re: R1200R weaknesses
No problems with my 08. Put on a Corbin seat , a Parabellum Scout fairing and Hepco-Becker bags. I consider the BMW bags a weak point. I have them on my RT and they provide too little carrying space in proportion to their size and weight, and I like top loaders.
