Re: 2016 BMW Bash

If we were interested in returning somewhere, how about Fayetteville and New River Gorge? It has a DQ nearby! :D

Anywhere in WV is good!

Re: Hungry Mother ride 2015 August 21-23

Turnout seems rather unenthusiastic this year. I might have an issue myself. I plan to leave the next weekend for a 2 week trip out west. Tough to be gone the weekend before I head out. If there isn't but a few folks showing up, hardly seems worth it.

Re: 2016 BMW Bash

Wayne - I loved the Staunton location for a Bash and would love to return . . . in a few years. Appreciate your offer but I sincerely think one of the appeals of the Bash is the rotating location. Having been Bashmaster a few times, I am not ready to step up at this time however. I think it needs to...

Re: Weave on acceleration

Wayne's answer is why I never drink until the riding is done!

My first guess would be a tire issue. Either a funky wear pattern or improper inflation. Check your front tire.

Good luck.

Re: LC seat review (2 of the 4 options)

Whatever I get for the replacement for my current '02 1150R, the knee angle will be a major issue. My old knees are killing my after long days on the R due to the cramped angle. I assume the raised seat helps this? Any input on how it feels on the knees. I intend to ride the new R but at the moment,...

I have been pathetic in taking pictures lately at our gatherings. But here is some from this year's Bash. I forgot to download pictures at home and the work security system seems to be blocking Smugmug for me, so Phil, hang on till tonight and I will post a couple of pics. Vince took more than me!

Just for fun, I might post a few from Bash 1, 12 years ago!

Re: 2015 Bash May 15-17, Staunton Virginia

Another good Bash in the books and a large turnout! Thanks Wayne and Bob for the good work. I knew the roads were good when you announced the location though! Vince and I left after breakfast to ride 252 over to Lexington and I circled downtown some trying to find it. We eventually did and it was a ...

JF - Sorry to hear about the drop. Heal up and glad there weren't any serious injuries! Meanwhile, ctrider - those are all good numbers to find and ride! I intend to hit some of those myself! I didn't intend to lead anyone to believe they should follow 250 to the end. Doesn't it go to Ohio? We...

Re: 2015 Bash May 15-17, Staunton Virginia

Routes? We don't need no stinking routes! 250 into WV, then pick a road, any road! Vince and I are meeting up Thursday evening, riding in on Friday via a rather indirect route! I have stopped at Paint Bank many times, never eaten there. We (well me actually but he coming along!) might aim for ...

Hey Wayne - Vince is coming! We are probably meeting up in route and coming in together Friday!

And Brian won't be making it this year.

The route suggestions was a good one. Those are great roads!

Re: Road light mounts under the coolers?

I just recently mounted some Modo Moto lights directly under the oil cooler covers like Endgame and like the result, although I haven't done any night riding since the install to check out the effect. I reinforced both sides of the whole with stout rubber washers, sandwiched by big stainless steel o...

I don't believe I have ever gotten over 7,000 miles on a tire, front or rear! Regardless of brand!

BBXII will be my 9th consecutive Bash. Doc - we should thank CycleRob also. You have been a good addition to the assorted characters that attend these gatherings. Also, a throttle body repair a few years ago kept me from maintaining my perfect attendance streak! But barring personal disaster, I wil...

Re: Full size system cases on R1150R… is it really possible?

The extra capacity comes from the inside. Where the exhaust was! No extra width over stock saddlebags. Although I do have some white paint on my pannier because I forgot about the extra width of saddlebags versus no saddlebags!

You have your answer about the bracket. You will love the extra capacity.
