I've got engine guards I'm trying to install.. I pulled the bolt above the shifter lever, it was kinda tough coming out.. Now before I put the Required bolt in,(it looks bigger dia anyway) I wanted to make sure the stock bolt would go back in... It don't wanna go back in.. Is it the un sprung weight...

The red reflector & BMW badge on the luggage lids are just on by adhesive correct?
Maybe a little heat from a hair dryer starts the process?
Has any one removed them.

what’s the reason for the aftermarket selector? Broken parts etc?

I didn't have that problem, but have read of others that have. "Slightly" grinding the point of the bleed screw fix's it.
I don't know why one would work & not another.
Search R1150R clutch speed bleeder screw, brings up a lot of discussion & photos.

I just did mine in March? installed a speed bleeder. If I remember right, (I know just weeks ago) I think the allen plug unscrews, I went out to check the toolbox but I may have pitched it..
