That looks good. I don't think I can straddle 7" with my car. I may have to do use the 2x12 as Rob suggested. They just seem like trip hazards when the car's not in the garage though.

as far as I can tell there is no way for that unit to burn a wiring harness! I do believe that the overtightened zip ties could cause this problem. I agree 100%. I would take the modulator and test it on another bike. Or send it back to the manufacturer for testing. The dealer is just using the mod...

Well, regarding the title of your post; the R is great fun. I love mine. However, you should seek a partner with more enthusiasm!

I've used incense sticks to check for leaks. And it make the garage smell heavenly!

The center portion of the tire has a more durable compound. The sides are made from a softer compound for more for grip. What I think you're seeing is 'squaring off' of the tire where the two compounds meet.

Looks like I'll miss the Bash this year. They've announced the date for my daughter's graduation and it's May 18th. I know I should have thought about this before I had children.
