Re: Help, I think I am screwed

My condolences to you :( . It's not a fun experience, as you may have read that I just went through this last month. Be prepared to shell out between $1500 and $2400, depending on the extent of damage. I would highly suggest that when you take your bike in for service, ask the dealership to submit a...

Re: Handguards

I thought they were from the 1150GS :-k . Big help on cold days, two screws on each side, (bar end screw and bracket mount) and they're off or on.

Re: Parts/pieces you wish you had, but no one makes

I will hopefully have a batch of barbacks available very shortly. I know there were a few members who purchased a set from me a while ago. They will work with any bike that has 7/8" bars with 32mm spacing between the clamp holes. A website will be up in the near future. Heres some incentive for...

Re: Parts/pieces you wish you had, but no one makes

Ok.....think I'm soon going into business making custom parts/pieces. Just got my Incorporation/tax numbers and my name registered as a business "JodaTech". Have a few DBA's in the works, and I'm thinking the "bike" part of the biz is going to be "Joda Customz". I'm hop...

Re: Mufler removal

[quote="rbertalotto"]Just curious, why would you put the pipe back on and add weight for touring? My bike without the muffler is not much louder, just a different tone. But then again, I'm using a $20 Hedman Header Resonator tip. No issues while on the highway...........But I were ear plug...

I would of thought that the better option would be to ditch the cat and fit a Y pipe?

For the rear, there is a big black knob you turn, left side of bike.

Re: Disaster!!!! (I think)

I'm a little confused about something from a lot earlier in your story. If I'm reading things correctly, the BMW regional rep came out and denied coverage for the damage -- but the bike wasn't actually taken apart so there was nothing for him to inspect. Am I correct in this? If that's the case, th...

Re: Disaster!!!! (I think)

I took the bike out for a 900 mile jaunt this weekend. Everything seems to be running very well. I did however notice one difference from before. The bike seems to be geared higher now. I know the rocksters have a lower gearing than the R1150R's. But it seems to me that my Rock now has the same gear...
