Sadly, not in my experience set - I've been relatively lucky with the electrics on my bikes!

Re: New Clutch and gearbox leak
As I understand it - the gearbox output shaft is 'above' the normal level of the oil (ie the static level). So- if it's leaking, a) it won't leak much b) it's acting a bit like an excess overflow. Re: Test post
I, for one, really appreciate all you have done through out the years. It has been a great source of information and also led to countless friendships and group rides. I totally understand if and when the site has to retire. Thanks for the ride! What Buckster said! Let us know what we can do to help?

Re: Test post
"Bandwidth exceeded" for several day. I guess my bands are too wide. Same here. The ISP obviously has a limit on how much data this server can use, so the more we visit.... the more data we use. :( This is standard practise for most ISPs and nothing 'sinister'. Doug would need to pay more...

Re: Front Brake Pads
New to me 2004 R1150R owner looking for advice regarding front brake pads. Bike has 26,500 miles on and front pads look “thin” to me. I can still see the wear indicator mark but can’t find a minimum thickness spec for this bike. What do y’all recommend for minimum thickness? Thanks, Dave If the ind...

Riceburner, I have a feeling you type much faster than most of us as you are a software engineer. I have to relog in every time I click The reply button to get to this area and start a reply. Then I usually take too long typing and when I hit submit get the "You have to be logged in to reply b...

Re: Do we need more users?
I have experienced issues when attempting to post as well. I can be logged in, I draft a reply to something, then when I try to post I am asked to log in again. Do that and all the draft text is lost. I have taken to drafting everything offline or saving to my the desktop first. That’s a separate i...

Re: An attempt to log in
I had an email conversation with Doug recently - there are some issues with the forum that are becoming harder to deal with for certain reasons that aren't disclosable. :( ( I would suggest that we bear with the issues and do the best we can to keep the community spirit going for as long as we can. ...
