buy it. replace all fluids immediately, especially if ABS. do all maintenance. take time to learn properly. Do not go out squidding.

I consider lubing of the splines the excuse to open it and inspect, so you can feel better and move on.

my wife is leaning on me to get a new bike. I thought II could, but I just cant. Only mid 30's for miles... NO reason to unload it. New bike, while WAAAAY nice, and awesome MPG's etc, doesnt do anything Mine cant, really.

yeah its annoying... but Im not selling my bike...so dont care lol
the annoying thing is the compulsory comments about the bikes price, such as: "BMW huh, must be nice to afford that, you must make more than I do"

I'd been putting the bike on the tinder all night and then throttling down and holding it in the AM for a couple minutes until the idling was steady. Then putting on my gear, disconnecting the tinder, etc. I read that these bikes do not need to warm up but can just fire up and off ya go. I loosened...

do NOT trust your phone to the pockets in a downpour[/img] I stuff a plastic grocery bag in the seat trunk, wrap my phone and wallet in it and then stick it in a (waterproof) gear pocket. For cold, I use tourmaster stuff. If it's warm, I'll use the JR liner on top and a pair of cheap plastic campin...

cutting out may be the hall effect sensor. especially since you mention corrosion... that tells me its been sitting out getting cold and wet.... :( replace transmission oil seal whilst inside. check the input splines real close. take your time. I might be inclined to go ahead and swap in a new clutc...
