Re: Favorite boots?
I really dont like boots but with bikes they come with the territory. Bought a pair of Dainese Fulcrum C2 Gore-Tex Boots last spring and have been very happy with them. I have a narrow foot and they fit better than any other boot I have tried. My feet have never gotten wet and I rode through steady ...

Re: 2015 Bash May 15-17, Staunton Virginia
I had thought about going 33 / 50 into Parkersburg WV, eat at the pizza place and take 47 to Elkins and then 219 to 250. I also thought about taking 50 all the way to 79 and down to 250. Honestly back roads are about as quick. Rt47 is a blast. Not sure what 33 is like going through WV. Sure dont wan...

I have MotoBozzo lights I bought here http://www.motobozzo.de/product_info.ph ... cts_id=259. They ship to the US and you dont have to pay the VAT. Pretty reasonable price too.

Re: 2015 Bash May 15-17, Staunton Virginia
I reserved a room earlier this week. Plan to ride down on Thursday so I can ride Friday and Saturday this year. Looking forward to it :) Last year my bike was towed to Frontline Eurosports when I had a flat rear tire. They have a nice shop. Several S1000RR's on the floor. http://i197.photobucket.com...

Re: BMW Motorrad Site...Neat Thing to Do
Never said you could. I just find it odd that BMW classifies the RS as a sport bike after basically bolting some additional plastic on it.Scota wrote:You can not compare the S1000R with the two other bikes...and i have to say that i like the new RS the more often i look at it.

Re: BMW Motorrad Site...Neat Thing to Do
I think its funny its classified as a sport model (extra plastic I suppose) and the S1000R is a roadster. I would take the S1000R in a heartbeat between the two of them.

How to remove remnants of wheel weight
I had a new rear tire put on the bike after a flat coming home from a trip. Washing it today I noticed that they left a lot of the previous weight adhesive on the wheel. Any suggestions on how best to clean it up? Thanks http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa67/steveewf/Bike/IMG_20140525_180612519_zp...

I made it in today at 6:30pm. Left the dealership with a new P3 rear tire at 12:30pm. Total miles 948.
Thanks to Vann, I enjoyed the ride Saturday and dinner with everyone. I plan to see everyone next year in VA.

Re: My almost Beakster Bash ride.
Quite the coinsedense, my bike was towed there Sunday with a flat rear ridding home from the Bash. Staying at a local motel waiting for them to open Tuesday to fix it.
Glad to hear they have a good shop with good people.

Unfortunately the tire is toast. It ripped the sidewall.
Pretty much resigned to hanging here until Tue. Just hope they have a michlen p3 in stock since both front and rear are/were new tires.
I'll write when I get home. Thanks.

I had a flat rear just into VA on 77. Called BMW and they had it towed to the nearest BMW dealer.... In Roanoke. Just found out the dealer is closed tomorrow.
The roadside assistance is great, just don't need it on a Monday or worse a Sunday

Re: Modifying system case rails for GIVI Monolock box?
I hear ya Steve...but do the math...$350 for the case, $175 for the mount, $75 for the backrest = $600!!! I don't get it, when they have perfectly great looking cases in the monolock line, but they won't mount to our bikes. hence my thought about making my own luggage rack, attaching it to the syst...

Re: Modifying system case rails for GIVI Monolock box?
Hi all, I am wanting to put a top box on my bike...mostly to have a backrest for a passenger...but it's also good to have extra storage. I've been looking at the GIVI boxes of course and it seems that the monokey boxes require that mounting bracket for an extra $180. That, a box, and a backrest pad...
