Left side case gathering dust?

Hey folks

I'm looking for cheap battered unwanted unloved R1150** left side System case. Specifically the R/GS high exhaust version of inner case half. In USA or Canada. PM me or respond here.

Not right side case... that side will get different configuration.

Thanks

Aha, the 2005 crossover year. I'm obviously an oil head devotee but was impressed by hexhead RT test ride in early 2006... the R1200 R not so much.

Antifreeze service................now to find that radiator cap buried behind the RT fairing.
Wayne,

You got adjustable windshield and bun warmers on your hexhead RT? I took a loaner bike out for ride back then and was impressed.

Paging Soliton

How did you re- finish your calipers? Polish/Buff? Bead Blast? Re-anodize?

I like the shine, and possibly easier to clean and inspect.

Wayne - it's good to hear you're riding, any bike! And keeping in the R-boxer family.

Re: ABS removed, now to reroute the lines...suggestions.

I always learn something new about R1150 brakes from you! Hence the "expert" moniker. This caliper/pad/rotor contact thing is interesting. Makes me wish I had photos of F800 brake disc wear pattern, since disc is same as R1150-spec but caliper (Brembo) differs. Doesn't look like the pad ar...

Thinking it's time that I apply the Riceburner Technique. Bought the Brembo version calipers and will install this winter.

Also, Soliton tell us what finishing you did for your calipers? Buff? Blast? Re-anodize?

Just checking in - again! PayPal notified me of auto-payment to Doug for this site, and created longing for the golden era when we enjoyed vigorous daily activity. Took rebuilt Rockster 2 into NorCal last week for vacation, 1000+ miles of excellent mountain and coastal roads. We skipped a few favori...

Epic!

I'm still hoping to meet you and your bike, Mike. Won't happen this until autumn 2021 at earliest, but it's on my bucket list along with a quick check on my old Bakersfield neighborhood, breakfast at Crazy Otto's, and chilling with a beer at Pismo.

Just checking in... and Rockster rebuild

Don't remember when I last checked in here, and happy to see we are still up & running! SO I'm saying "hi" to you all and hope to reconnect. Cannot say the same for my Rockster, which sadly sits on the Handy lift just like the day I rode it home from last summer's crash. SO I'm making ...

Did battery charging via ride or VDC source fix your iABS warning? There's a minimum voltage measurement in the iABS computer's status check. You can also get faults from the circuit checks at front/rear brake switch circuits. Additionally, you can get faults from the circuit checks on brake & t...

Re: Thank you for every piece of advice and encouragement.

It’s good to see your Black Beauty reborn as version 2. Are the wheel rim surfaces polished or plated? Ever since you showed us work and n the shortened tail of version 1, I have spent time doing the “sit & stare” exercise when one of my R1150R bikes was stripped down for service, modifications,...

Never tried one myself.

Getting x-rays tomorrow to see if I need replacement parts too.

Ouch! How big is that Bad Bump? Do you have any recourse against the county for failure to maintain the roads? Estimate: 12" rise in 18" span, or perfect size to launch bike and rider at 40MPH. That road is in USDA Willamette National Forest. Normal maintenance and markings do not apply, ...
