Re: HP4
Wow congratz! I want one too! :D I really like the HP4, especially the upgrade one with the blue forged wheels and the sponsor stickers. 8) Yeah your third bike should be a differnt brand, diversity of a great thing when it comes to bikes. I could never understand the one brand mentality of some rid...

I actually like both of the new R12R colors, the brown and the blue, a lot!

This was really popular in the 1990s. Is it making a comeback?

Sounds like you are locking up the rear brake. The rear brake on the non ABS R1150R is incredibly easy to lock up.

Re: Wire sleeve repair
There was a service bulletin on this several years ago. They installed some kind of protecter on it to prevent the bundle from chafing. I remember taking in my bike for a fuel system related recall and the dealer told me there were a couple of open service bulletins on my bike and that he would perf...

From what I recall on my 2002 R1150R, I got three keys, owner's manual, tech manual, tool kit, and flat repair kit.

Re: Cam Chain Tensioner
I have a 2004 Rockster with 34-odd thousand miles on it. Is there a typical lifespan or likely fail mileage for this part? I'm not sure what year BMW started using the updated cam chain tensioner. I thought it was 2005 or it could be 2004...maybe someone who knows will chime in. Do you hear a cam c...

$91 dollars at the BeemerShop.com I plan on installing mine this week. Bought a 15mm & 17mm Flex head wrench set so I will hopefully beable to do it without removing the throtle body. I just got mine from BeemerShop and installed it today. I don't know how you are going to do this without remov...

Fully agree with Cyclerob. $5,400 is about the price for a nice 2002 with a clean title. A salvage title severely reduces the value of the vehicle.

So the clues are it's 1/2" in diameter, made of rubber, and it looks like the original color was black... My guess is that it must be the other end of the brake/clutch bleed screw nipple cover. Not the cover that goes over the bleed nipple but the other end that goes under the screw to prevent ...

I have a question for you guys without the cat. Every vehicle I have ever removed the cat (car or bike), the exhaust ended up smelling pretty bad. Is this the case with the R1150R as well?

Re: R1200R Classic vs Ducati 1098s
The later 2011 R1200R has a 0-60 time of 3.6 seconds and the 1098S of just under 2.9 seconds. That's hardly smoke difference [-X Are you kidding??? That is a HUGE difference! Anyway - regardless, it was an interesting little experiment =D> Trust me on this, given identical riders, there is no way, ...

Re: R1200R Classic vs Ducati 1098s
The guy on the 1098S must've been a totally incompetent rider. Under normal condition a 1098S will smoke the R1200R like it's standing still.

Re: Rear tire locked up while riding.
I'm assuming this is a non-ABS bike?
If so are you sure you didn't touch the rear brake pedal by accident? I have the same bike and the rear brake is the most sensitive of any bike I have ever ridden in 25 years of riding. It practically locks up if you look at it.
