+1 on the shim washer. I put a throttlemiester on mine, then cranked the grips up and found that the throttle bound up just a touch. Popped the TM off, changed shims and PERFECT!

There are still some 07 R1200S models at the dealers that can be purchased for 10K less than these HP models, and they are fine handling bikes, not short on power or brakes either. geo edit: http://onfinite.com/libraries/1005353/019.jpg This is my wifes S Would that be the back door at Twin City BM...

After an earlier post about warm and safe vs gerbings vs whatever I looked at the warm and safe site and found extreme humor in the "they ripped me off" rants. Probably due to my appreciation for dark humor. If he did get ripped off that's a bummer, but so what deal with it, and it l...

I don't mean for this to be a highjack (hopefully the op will want to know the answer as well) but I seem to remember reading on this or another board about NOT carrying the heat controller in a jacket pocket as it generates too much heat. Does anyone have any input on that question? The reason for ...

I couldn't see it at first either-I right clicked on the red X went to properties copied the URL, pasted it in the browser and got to see it on the kodak site. It then magically appeared in the post FWIW. Now, about that seat-very nice, but I thought that Seargent hadn't yet released one for the 12R...

My off the center stand is likePhillo's as well, just sit on the bike and walk it off. Having a 36" inseam helps with this I would imagine  As far as moving the bike around in the garage, again I sit on it and walk it around, in hopes of minimizing chances of an indoor tip over.

Caol's technique is much the same as mine but as I put all my weight on the stand I lift the seat frame by standing upright.

Yeah I've seen $17.00 to fill mine up too-never thought I'd see the day!! But then who'd of thought I'd spend over $150.00 to fill up my Silverado and bass boat. My grandfather used to call it "the cost of high living"

Don, I have seen reports on the net (so therefore it must be true  ) of dealers ordering keys for known customers with the vin#. I have no direct experince, I ordered one to be picked up at delivery, very salty little sting it was.

I saw this thread yesterday and checked out my bike when I got home to see what the deal was. I have yet to chenge my own oil as the bike only has 2k on it and the dealer did the run in service so I was unsure what the deal was with the filter wrench issue. My thought was similar to reds there: what...

The stock tool kit is the second most lame tool kit I have ever gotten with a bike. As I remember my very first "motorcycle" (after a string of tube framed/briggs and straton powered minibikes) was a 1970 Honda CT 70. The "tool kit" contained the same sparkplug/axle wrench as the...

Thanks, I was afraid of that. Yeah, I can't tell if it is interesting or not either as english is my only language (and rather poorly at that) but a quick google of euros verses $$$ tells me that it would be about $800. And I'm guessing that's just for the can.
