I agree with Doug and am really enjoying the photos. Here are three more. http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2cc22b3127ccef193c6f8466600000030O09AcOWrFq2cg9vPgA/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/ http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2cc22b3127ccef1939ce7465400000030O09AcOWrFq2cg9vPgA/cC/f%3D0/p...

2013 Calendar Photo Submissions -- Deadline Saturday-Dec 22

There has been some off-line discussion on when to close the entries - and it was decided to make Dec. 22nd the deadline for entries. That will give Joe time to gather the winners together after someone picks them.. ALL the photos submitted will probably be used for a montage for the front cover of...

Re: R1200R owners calendar for 2013?

I don't mind if Lost Rider puts on a few bucks to support the board. It is a service we are getting and I am sure any little bit will help.

Re: R1200R owners calendar for 2013?

So how do we go forward on this? Is Websterize going to work on it? I am happy to submit a couple photos for consideration.

I can swing $15.99 if the $7.99 does not work out.

Re: 90th Anniversery R1200R

That must be quite a show (EICMA) going on in Milan right now. Motorrad is really on a roll these days. Lots of really cool stuff. Too late to cancel the order on my HP4, it should be here in a couple weeks. Looks like I will need to wait a year or two and purchase a used anniversary model R1200R. B...

90th Anniversery R1200R

This link was posted on Facebook. Has anyone heard if there is such a thing as a 2013 90th Anniversary R1200R?

I think this might be the same bike.

I am in. Can they be ordered on Shutterfly individually? Vistaprint might be a good option too at $7.99.

Looks like the Haynes manuals only go through 2010. http://www.haynes.com/products/sfID1/8/sfID2/9/sfID3/14

These DVD's are popular, but it appears to only go up to 2009. http://www.marcparnes.com/BMW_R1200_Mai ... _Video.htm

Re: Repair plug 83300413585 for gps radar

There are three wires on the repair plug, but only two that you need. The middle one has something to do with the factory satnav. You should check the amperage coming from the CANBUS system to the GPS plug under the headlight. I think it is 5 amps, but don't hold me to that. Them compare that with t...

HP4

I ordered an HP4 today. Standard one. Plan to keep the R1200R as my primary touring bike and ride the racing bike on mountain roads for short day trips. It will be intersting to see if I start to prefer the RR over time. I kind of doubt it. Apples and oranges. I guess my third bike should be somethi...

Is a 2010 bike with 24K still under warranty? I am not under warranty, and I would not take it off.

Re: hot rotor

I am not the least bit worried about heat from the brakes getting to the driveshaft. I am very worried about the heat causing the brake pads to fracture, disc to warp, damage the calipers, etc. It was an extreme situation with steep downhill on a tight twisty highway and not a situation I ride in re...

hot rotor

While taking a break coming down a steep mountain tight twisty pass this weekend (on my 08 R1200R), I noticed something on the edge of my rear rotor that alarmed me. I was using a technique of dragging the rear break and applying a small amount of maintenance throttle to keep the suspension stable t...

Lovin It

Took my 08 R1200R on a 350 mile ride today on the Enchanted Circle through Taos, Angle Fire, Red River etc. Could not have had a better time. Leaving tomorrow to take the San Juan Skyway/Million Dollar Highway through Telluride and Durango.

Man, I LOVE THIS BIKE!
