Re: A sad farewell to one of the forums founder members...

Thanks for sharing this somber news Bob. Lots of familiar usernames in this thread, lots of memories. So sad to read.

Ride In Peace, Pat.

2011 Hungry Mother Rain Ride

Another super shindig goes down in the history books. Phenomenal turnout, 18 or more, anyone know an exact number? There were about 16 of us that camped.
I only took this one picture all weekend:

JB, I think this is a "Ner-a-car".

The picture in the wikipedia entry isn't good, but an image search produces a lot of results.

Cool stuff, Phil. I had heard about Mountain Dew but did not know the other.

Also, Vann I didn't mean to kill your Flogging "Molly" reference. And iwoabeakster, HM is close enough to WV that the Young Dubliners won't be a problem.

Re: Hungry Mother #8 August 19-21 2011

Info for attendees: Saturday, August 20th is another "Back of the Dragon" Day. So, there will be plenty of southbound bikes on 16 in the morning and northbound in the afternoon. For any undecideds, do not let this deter you. We will probably be gone before and get back after the crowds. Pl...

Re: Oh! The Humanity!

Standardized controls are a good thing. I don't have a problem moving from my Beemer to the Morphous which has this type of signal switchgear. I do have a signal minder on my R so that I can cancel with same switch that started the blinking. I bet you hardly think about it when you jump on your KLR ...

boxermania, but will the Harley guys wave at someone riding a scooter? :D ... Don I can tell you yes they do, but it helps if you wave first (doesn't it always?). Boxermania, These scooters are one of the best kept two wheel secrets. It's the macho factor, hard to overcome, but when you're on one y...

Vann, you're not confused, Fungus53 is now all AC/DC.

John, probably is the same Meatmen given their DC area background. It doesn't say much here but lists some names of former members: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meatmen

XM Fungus 53 - Gone AC/DC

I can't stand it! Every day at lunch I listen to the special programs on XM's now gone punk channel, Fungus53. Not only that, but I listened to it most of the day. Tuesday's cover song show called "Duped" was just fantastic. Epic stupidity on Mr. Jon Zellner's part. Horrible decision in my...
