There was some discussion on this topic a while back and I think we determined that the best place to tie down the front end was on each arm of the telelever. My sentiments exactly. Currently there is not one model of BMW motorcyles that would encourage me to part with any $$$.

Guess I'll be keeping the 1150R for quite some time.

As for the air compressor, I have the one in your second picture...only used it a couple of times...it worked.

Don't have one...but have looked at and considered some type of bulk gasoline storage with hand pump (I like the Handy version).

I guess I worry too much. It makes me nervous to keep 30 gallons of gas in an attached garage...maybe if the garage was a couple hundred yards away...

Bill...certainly a sad tale. Glad all is well now. I had a similar experience with Honda Roadside Assistance, and with AAA (which sells memberships at bike rallies but neglects to tell that motorcycle roadside assistance is not covered). I think they all use the same towing contractors... :shock: No...
