Re: NineT Owners Photo Thread
function is beauty quote edited for simplicity. Indeed. I agree. If I have another person tell me "not a fan of how those two engine heads sticking out looks" I might just snap. lol really? no....seriously...I mean it....REALLY? How is that even a conversation you bring up to someone? I m...

Re: I just retired...
Mike, Glad you are OK. At least you know WHEN to hang it up and it did not result in permanent damage or even death. Probably time to go out and look at convertibles, at least they will give you somewhat of the same feel with the top down! I wish you all the best and teaching does help keep you youn...

Re: 2015 R1200R Water Boxer
Here's another artists impression: Both of these photoshop jobs that we have seen look better than the factory concept bike to my eyes. I especially like the orange one. http://www.autoevolution.com/news/2014-bmw-r1200r-concept-by-nicolas-petit-68858.html I sort of like the all black one. Also like...

Re: AIR HAWK Recommendations?
Just ordered the 'R' model. It delivers Friday so I can test it on a Sunday ride of several hours. Good thing to test before starting the trip! Angel - I have never taken pain killer to get through the day. Am looking for better comfort than that  Normally I dont either. My back was killing me...

Re: AIR HAWK Recommendations?
Have used an airhawk for prior trips and it worked out fine. For my last 5K+ trip over 8 days (rode 7 of those days and averaged 750+ miles/day), I just toughed it out. Surprisingly, my butt/bike seat became "one" and was not sore after the 3rd day - in fact, stopped taking Aleve after the...

This is truly where my statistical background saw me through. That's a brilliant way to describe you experience! Good to see you out and a bout'. Awesome. Did 5k+ in 7 days, out and about indeed!! :D No garage queen here, LOL! BTW, preferred the h*ll raiser (NC 28) in western NC & NC 421 outsid...

Re: The R1200R Photo Discussion Thread!
At the crossing of nowhere going somewhere.:D This pic was taken after a long 6 hour ride across the Oklahoma panhandle in one of the worst torrential storms I have experienced with lightening everywhere (and yes Virginia, there was no place to take shelter). This is truly where my statistical backg...

Re: Best Soft Luggage?
I use Kriega. They are IMNSHO, some of the best gear out there. They survived a 5K+ trip recently with NO, absolutely, NO complaints. I will not be purchasing hard cases for my R, as the Kriega are wonderful! http://www.kriega.us/

Vernal! They say Hwy 50 in Nv is the loneliest road in America, but it does not hold a candle to US 40 between Vernal and Craig, Co. There is nothing that can hold on freshly poured tar snakes, ie before they "dry." Amen, brother, amen! Rode US60 (across MO), US64 (across the OK panhandle...

Re: Another Tire Thread
Glad you like 'em; my experience also. As I have said, if I were buying today, I wouldn't even research. I did like the scorpion "trails" a little better, but I am splitting hairs, and the GTs get far better mileage. I am talking about the second generation Scorpion Trails. Just watch out...

Re: Another Tire Thread
Putting Angel GT's on the bike tomorrow ... will let you know how well they ride. The ones that came with the bike (Bridgestone's (?)) have worked well, but lots of cupping after 4k miles, however, were fairly effective when I ran the Dragon yesterday. :D Angel GTs mounted a few hours ago, now with...
