Re: Rider Footpegs
All great info but I understood the question was about lowering the PASSENGER (rider?) pegs.

Re: Rider Footpegs
I have checked with Suburban Machinery a number of times and they say they DO NOT make lowered rider pegs for the R12R. I'm wondered which you are using?
For myself, I'm having a buddy custom-fabricate a pair and will post photos if anyone is interested.

Re: lower handlebar
As a fellow recent convert, I agree with you about lower and narrower bars, and am working on a smaller more effective windshield option as well. I also find that I prefer the pegs further back and have been using the passenger pegs which I eventually plan to lower. To conclude, a lot of folks on th...

Re: Windshields
Thanks so much. This thread has all the info I needed.
Why can't BMW or someone else design a decent (ie good looking and functional) shield for our naked bikes? They do it for the K1300R, KTM does it for the 990 SMT, and Yamaha for the Fazer, to name a few.

Windshields
Does anyone know the brand of mini-shield on the "January" R12R? Does it do much to divert air from your chest?

Re: Cal Sci Windshield
Thanks for all the info. Does ANYONE out there have a setup they're happy with??
Meanwhile, I'd like to buy the BMW Sportshield if someone has one to sell. Contact me off line....

Cal Sci Windshield
I know we have talked this thing to death but as a new R12R rider I'm still uncertain as to what's best for me. I'm 5'-8'', 29" inseam, and have the Tall seat, but unlike Don E. I found the BMW Tall shield totally too noisy. I then ordered and quickly returned a Cee Bailey 16'' for the same rea...

Re: Help me diagnose my windshield problem
Has anyone else tried the Givi screen? I saw one at the MOA Rally and thought it was one of the best looking of all the options. I'm 5-8, 29" inseam, and ride with a "tall" seat.

R1200R - Lowered version
Next Question. What are the potential merits/shortcomings of the "lowered" version to be offered soon. Has anyone ridden this bike? I'm 5' 8'' with a 29" inseam.

Ordering New R1200R
I'm getting ready to order a new R1200R, my first new bike since buying my R90S in 1975! I've ridden many of the oilheads and this is the first one I've liked almost as well as the old bike but I have some questions: Can the handlebars be narrowed by about 1" per side without disturbing the cab...
