Rode down to Boyer WV this past weekend to meet up with a group from the XL Forum. I have ridden on group rides with several of the members in the past. Made in in about 3:30. See a few bikes in the lot. Everyone must be out riding. I am going to get a quick bite to eat.

For the price of these motorcycles you would think BMW would engineer a reliable fuel monitoring system that provided accurate instant MPG/K, average MPG/K, distance renaming in M/K and a warning that comes on before the tank is dry. Couple of pictures of my bike from Mohican State Parke today.

I have the touring shield on my 2013. I think its great. But then I came from a 2005 HD 1200R without any windshield that I generally used for touring and longer rides.

Looks good, thanks for the info. I have a 2013 and put about 300 miles on it before bad weather settled in. When I take it in for the 600 mile service I will discuss the header and slip on mods with the mechanic.

From what I see a new Remus header and slip on were installed right out of the box?? What type of HP and torque improvements do you see with that setup and how does it effect the warranty? I like the looks of the Remus slip-on.

Hey Biff. I generally make 555 part of a trip down into WV and back home every year. Fun ride. I am originally from Parkersburg WV. Coming down Friday I will probably take 33 to 550 into Marietta. Might pick up 555 on the way home Sunday.
