Wayne old man...thank God your OK. Had heart failure for a few seconds reading your post, till I realize no serious injuries. I'm telling you, BMW makes a tough motorcycle! I was hit head on by a pickup truck, any other bike I would have been dead! Well, my advice to you...Vicodin and lots of rest! ...

DSKYZD, mcooperstein, The Zumo 550 is the same unit with BlueTooth added. CycleRob - Are you sure? I went to the Garmin site, and don't even see any reference to a Nuvi-450. There *is* however a Zumo 450, and yes it differs from the Zumo 550 by the Bluetooth functionality. I have been looking at th...

CycleRob, why didn't you look at the Garmin Zumo 550? I thought that was their 'motorcycle friendly' model?

.....10 of those pounds will come by the removal of the muffler with the now famous DJ conversion... What conversion? Has he turned gay, and lost pounds because he now wears a dress instead of full leathers? Seriously, post a link to this so-called DJ conversion! I'm feeling gay these days too! :) ...

Generally the $2000 worth of options arent worth much when considering the price of a used bike. Thats why most people take them off their bikes and part them out seperately. Now, the price isn't too bad for an '04 but the mileage is high. The dealer will probably tell you some BS like 'thats not a ...

Hey Steve. Congrats on the new RT. But, 1400 miles and the grips have split like that? Makes you wonder why? You ought to be able to get replacements from Chicago BMW and put them on yourself. I think, as BP said, getting them off is most of the hassle.

Question about '08 model

Went to a dealer in Knoxville TN and they told me that the new '08 model R1200R's will be available in a limited edition paint job. He said it would have custom white hand painted pin stripes on the black model, and each tank would be signed. Is this new for '08? I seem to remember BMW doing the sam...

Shameless dealer plug

Last Thursday my wife and I were in Knoxville TN for some business. I knew there was a BMW dealer somewhere, so I started asking around. I got directions to them and we headed out there. Lo and behold, they were closed for an employee 'in-service' day. While we were peering in the door, the owner no...
