Motolights: New Caliper Mounts

At our last club meeting I was looking at a twin to my 1150R and noticed that the Motolights had a very different mounting system. I love my Motolights, but have never been a big fan of the strap-style mounts. Today, after giving her a bath to finally wash off the grime from an 1,100 mile weekend la...

I dropped my Beak while stopping to fill up for gas. I was wearing a brand new pair of Alpine Stars,. When I stopped and went to put my foot down those new soles just slipped. I fought gravity for a second or two, but there was no saving it. Fourtunately, I had protectors that did their job.

gelbe, I don't know if you have ever ridden through the western part of Tennessee along Hwy 70. There are several small "towns" where the speed limit drops to 30 or less well before you get to the lone traffic light. Riding 60 to 90 (2 to 3 times the limit) on the outskirts of these "...

Arkline,

The show in Memphis included one of my pet peeves - you could take photos IF you bought the photo permit. This is, of course, separate from the ticket.

Interesting side note, the last time I bought a photo permit was at the Kremlin last December :)

As you know, I rode the Dragon a couple of weeks ago with some friends. After a couple of runs we started thinking more deliberately about entry lines, counter steering, weight shift, etc. The runs became much smoother and faster. The experience highlighted the fact that some bad habits had crept in...

And I knew better!!

A couple of weekends ago I committed a major riding transgression, and the burden of my sin weighs heavy. I knew better. I swore I would always just say “no”, and never give in to the peer pressure. Alas, when put to the test, I failed. A group from the local BMW club rode from Nashville...

I have two of the U mounts from Ram. As has been pointed out, they will not mount in the center. I have one on the left side (GPS) and one on the right (XM radio). This works fine and still allows for a good view of the instruments. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v426/valueman/ArtofCycle/RamMount...

Deals Gap and the BRP

I live in Nashville, Tennessee, and my buddy John “Boz” Bosworth lives in Charlotte, North Carolina. That puts the famed Deals Gap and the Tail of the Dragon almost exactly half way in between us. For two years now we have talked of hooking up and riding the area together. This past week...

I love the XM radio. I would never have made it thrugh my Iron Butt ride without it.

By the way, I just put the antenna on the headlight housing and used plastic cables to secure the excess wiring.
