Great pictures Bob. I enjoyed meeting you and Judy. Also enjoyed our Saturday evening chat on the porch. Hope to meet you again. I'll post my pics when I figure out how to do it.

One of the Honda riders and myself were the last ones to leave the Inn yesterday AM. We zig zagged our way up to Winchester VA where we spent the night (just found the hotel quest computer). Getting ready to head out on the last leg of the trip. We both had a great time at the Bash. Met a lot of gre...

I presently own a Harley and a R1150R. Have also owned several Harleys in the past. Very short answer -- the Harley is for sale!!! My opinion. Also I think the Sportster would be a closer comparison to the R.

I have always had a problem keeping my fingers warm. The solution for me is the Gerbing heated gloves with the heated grips. I keep the grips in the low position and adjust the gloves with the thermostat. Works like a charm.

I agree with Boxer. My '05 at 70MPH in 6th the tach shows 4K RPM.
I would have preferred the taller 6th gear. :(

Sometimes I would get the hip pain so bad that I would have to pull over and walk it out. I've found that by doing some streching before a ride it has almost eliminated getting the pain. Hope this helps.

For controling the heat their thermostat is the way to go. You get much better results as opposed to constantly cycling the on/off switch. I've had Gerbings for 6 years and have no complaints. They work great. :D

Janruary 1970, two days before having to report for military duty (drafted) totaled my 64 Chevelle. Eventually traded what was left of it to a freind for a 350 Yamaha (don't remember the year) with no 1st gear.

Have owned a couple of 1200 Sporsters. Sold the last one to be able to buy the R1150R. No regrets whatsoever. You'll love the bike. Take it for a test ride and see for yourself.

Terrific site. I've been lurking around for a while but don't have much free time to post. Bear with me please, a brief history first. I had Jap bikes years ago. Took about 20 years off. Came back to motorcycles 10 years ago. Started out with Harleys and still have one. I took a R1150R for a test ri...
