Speaking of batteries, what kind of battery is in the F800ST and what kind of Battery Tender do I need? If Odyssey does make a battery for the F800 would the same Battery Tender work?
Thanks.

Re: Red Light Woes
So, in summary, my choices are: 1. Move to Tennessee, 2. Change my route, 3. Become a follower, 4. Break the law and live out my days in a Texas prison donning socks and underwear chosen by MikeCam. I can see only one option that has clear advantages. As to number 1, we no longer allow Texa...

Re: Red Light Woes
I run into that issue as well. In Tennessee it's perfectly legal for a motorcycle operator to proceed through a red light when the path is clear. I do that quite often even for traffic signals that the motorcycle does trigger. There are other intersections where it's never clear and running the red ...

Re: Disconnecting Battery to do Work!
Rob,...Or anyone else who can tell me. I want to disconnect the battery to do some wiring setup similar to yours from the low-beam power wire. I have the on-board computer and am worried about what I will have to "reset" when I lose power. Is this a major PITA, or just a matter of resetti...

Where do you get sockets for those and what are the really called? They are called external torx bolts. I bou...

Re: Another ABS problem
There two things you need to do when you have an ABS fault:
- Note the pattern of the warning lights / look up the fault in the owners manual.
- Ignore Boxer!

Re: Another ABS problem
I had a similar problem a couple of years ago. The brake fluid was a little low in the rear reservoir because the rear brake pads were worn. I would be fine when I started the bike, but intermittently it would trigger an error. Once I turn off the ignition and turn it back on, the error was gone. If...

Modifications to my F800ST
Here are the modifications I've done to my F800ST so far. The modifications can be categorized as 'safety' and 'convenience'. Obviously, the safety modifications are necessary because he's out there. And he's not alone. http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h46/touchton/Home/F800ST/Clown.jpg The first ...

That's the spirit. Don't change anything. Just keep buying the replacement parts and carry them with you. It makes for entertaining stories as long as you don't have to ride bitch on my bike!Biff's R wrote:Haven't changed the tire yet, but I have a little life left in the one on the bike.

Re: 600 Mile Service
Did my 600 mile service yesterday. Pretty simple. The only surprise was my old oil filter wrench doesn't work on the F800ST filters. Another 'special tool' that's needed for regular servicing of this bike is a 'E10' socket. It's an 'External Torx' socket. I purchased a small set of External Torx soc...

Re: GS-911 Diagnostic
I received my GS-911 this morning. I haven't had much time to play, but I was able to connect to the bike and read the fault codes. There were none! I set the 'date' on the bike, set the next service to 6000 miles, and set the next service date to 6-26-2010. I looked a the real-time values for a min...

I ordered one this morning. I went with the Enthusiast version with Bluetooth. I have my 600 mile service coming up this weekend so I would like to see what fault codes are ...
