Re: Autolite Plug Gap Single Spark

I got PO'd about the Autolite 4164 issue a couple weeks ago. So I went to the local auto-parts store, bought another cheap deep socket to fit them, and ground it down till it fit on a bench grinder. I know it's not a recommended practice, and it's not pretty, but it works! Besides, it really got me ...

Re: is there a reserve tank on the R1150R???

My low fuel light can come on constant as early as 120 miles or as late as 160 miles. It also will come on for a while when starting, especially when parked on the side stand, and then go off shortly after take-off. Which is a nice early warning indicator BTW. But, I take it for what it is (an idiot...

ARMEC Sidecars

A friend of mine is planning on getting an RT and would like to get an ARMEC Sidewinder Sidecar as well. Do any of you know of an ARMEC Dealer in the US? The website doesn't have dealer or contact info that I can find and I see the compatibility list stops at 1150's so I'm wondering if there still i...

Re: How To Tell Polarity

Phil, Try this: 1. Power supply not hooked up (either end) 2. Set the Volt Meter on Ohms 3. Connect one lead of the Ohm meter to the negative lead of the output that goes to the Radio 4. Connect the other lead to the two input power leads one at a time. 5. The one with the least resistance (in ohms)...

Re: How To Tell Polarity

One possibility... Since it's a DC to DC converter the input and output Negatives "may" be connected together internally. If you have a good Ohm meter, you can measure from the known negative on the output side to each wire on the input side. The one with the lowest resistance is the Negat...

Is there an unofficial Spline Lube Procedure? I thought I remembered seeing something once with photos, but can't find it.

Also, any recommendations on frequency?

If it's not terribly difficult, at 43K now, it sure wouldn't be a bad thing to at check!
