I just answered my own question by checking beemer boneyard. Now my question is, because I have a 2002 R1150R, (a suspect year?). should I invest in this disc plate and the cost to install it, even though I have not suffered the spline failure? Wouldn't this make sense as good insurance? Or maybe I ...

I'm not speaking from experience, as I'm also getting ready to finally do my own valve adjustment. I've always had the shop do it as I'm a little afraid of taking the plunge. Also got my boneyard gauges.... I would think that gently heating up the rubber plug (hair dryer, heat gun) would soften the ...

Wanted to add that I installed a PC 680 in my 2002 r1150 a few years ago. It only lasted a year. I don't ride frequently and had it on a standard battery tender plus. After a year or so, it wouldn't hold a charge anymore. After some research, I'm sure my tender ruined the battery. i went back to the...
