Re: *&^%@#% battery!
It may interest some to learn that here in Manila the BMW gel battery sells for $320. It is only available from the local agent. I am sure I could get a PC680 sent from the US for less even after running the gauntlet with local customs. Also some folks here have the Balikbayan option which is even m...

Re: *&^%@#% battery!
Some time ago I bought a BMW gel battery. Dont go there! Whats wrong with the BMW gel cell? Mine is over 7 years old and still going! I don't even use a battery tender! It was VERY expensive and it has never appeared to be anything more than marginal in terms of cranking the engine. And it has a ba...

Re: *&^%@#% battery!
Mabuhay Grey Thumper, Dont think so but I PM'd my phone number to you so you can call if you wish. You should get rid of that flooded battery as a matter of some urgency before it boils over on you. Motolight do a good range of cheap maint free batteries but you will need to remove the old one to us...

Re: Do I Worry about this?
If it was coming from your brake line, your occasional bursts of speed would have spread the fluid rearwards onto the caliper. I believe you will find it is coming from within the swinging arm. We will see.

Wash the area thoroughly and keep an eye on it. Might as well extend the washing procedure to include the rest of the bike. Dont worry yet.

I use 5/8 double sided Velcro tape. Much neater and better all round. No it doesn't melt.

Re: Introduction/R1150R Ergonomics Questions
drb, Welcome to the board. Dont put your 17 MBP on the rear rack, it will get damaged there. Better keep it in a sleeve and put that in a waterproof bag then strap it to the pillion seat. I would advise against wearing a back pack as this will encourage "creeping" and offend the family jew...

Re: Independant Bmw mechanic
Go to your local dealership and talk to the mechanics, you may find someone willing to "moonlight" for you particularly given the economic climate. 97 will give you better milage. I used to commute from Redhill to Heathrow daily (80 miles round trip) and bought my fuel at Supermarket disco...

First try to kick the life back into the switch by clicking it furiously while riding. If that has ...
