Re: New Clutch and gearbox leak
How many miles on the machine? Have you ever had to add fluid to the gearbox? Has the machine set up for an extended time? You may have only a small seep that over time can add up. Is the clutch slipping? If not why change it out? If you pull the rear drive and can get to the rear gearbox seal (if i...

Take the bulbs to an auto parts store like auto zone and you can buy the bulbs of 1.5 w/2. w for a fraction of that. I carry 3 or 4 in my riding kit. Very subject to vibration making them lose continuity or corrosion. I use De Oxit anti corrosion spray every time I replace one or some I know use die...

Re: Wiring Diagram
I know this might sound silly but you did check all the blubs right? Over the years I have preplaced many and sometime 2 at a time. Also they sometimes lose continuity from vibration.(and the dreaded corrosion of the connections in the bulb sockets.

Yes what happens when you press the start button. One thing comes to mind is the handlebar kill switch..is it in the run opposition?

I also donate each year. It would be a shame to see the forum fold as there are a lot of oilheads out there. So latel...

Re: TOR or MOA Meet-Up
Last year while returning from a visit to TX I met a guy on a Rockster ('04) !
Turns out we both bought in the same year ('04/blue and white) and we were born in the same year one day apart!
Birds of a feather...
Snow here in the mountains and the rock down for heavy maintence...

Re: TOR or MOA Meet-Up
Small town and set in really beautiful park. Lots of tours during the week end for those that like to be guided or ride in a group. The Rockies are pretty good riding that time of year. High altitude though so consider that if you have any lung ailments or other reasons that you should beware of alt...

I very smooth and fast machine but I need to get the first service in at the BMW dealer (always get the first service on a new machine at the place of purchase)itI was the largest and o...

I have a throttle lock that I can add and remove tension easily w/my right hand. I wouldn't ride long distance w/o it for sure. In fact all my machines have such devices.
Just used for cruise mode.

The big "Bagger" race associated w/moto America looks like is still on for Oct. I know the guys from Feuling HD performance parts that are getting a Milwaukee 8 ready to rumble. Open to 130 cubic inch max to any brand of bagger. I think they have it(the M8) up to 150 hp and are modifying i...

A very unique system for sure. Its one of the reasons I have not gone to the newer 1200s(the other is the can bus system, not easy for self maintenance). In 16 years and 280K plus miles I have never had to do any maintence to the forks on my Rockster except for a torn rubber cover on the front swive...
