Back again...

Post by Bry »

Well, after WEEKS of no bike and summer slipping by I found my ten month old ST needed valve guides, valves (tensioners already fitted)... bugger..
edit : They'd never seens such a thing... guess I'm lucky...
NOT HAPPY!

The guys at Auto Classic were brilliant, understood and gave me a fantastic trade on something else, BMW at least is getting a call.... I'd figured the ST was proven!

ah well... the new toys a peach, lucky I haven't got it now... because it's double demerits this weekend. :D Pick it up Wednesday....

Gonna miss the luggage of the ST and it's charm.. but the 12 will kick me up the arse! :)

You're right it did look a little big...but not as big as the RT one...both new and old RT top boxes are HUGE!

Can you fit a fullface helmet in that givi box...It's good to be able to do that.

Yes you can, 35 litres, it was either the small BMW that was 28L and that one you saw I think is the 45L? Then I found the Givi...

Kinda an in between size, works well and the bracket was less conspicuous, plus I wired the brake lights into it.. worked well..

The Bike! (o and owner..)
Picked it up this morning, hell it's fun, gotta admit though, the throttle hand is so easy to be bad with, could really use an extra gear as you get into 6th thinking there's another gear? right?

The pull of the motor is phenomenal, rear brake seems a little less powerful than the ST, but the handling is so neutral, I think the tyres on the demo were fairly worn.

Now... if I can find somewhere to buy demerit points I'll be happy!

BMW came to the party, and gave me three years warranty which is great given the bad luck I had with the ST..

And as you lose your license for three to six months at a time, the extra time might come in handy!

Wow-Wee!!!

I don't think I could behave on that.
