1150GS handlebars.

Post by Remow2112 »

Hi all,

I have genmar risers on my 1150 and I am starting to have some back issues. Has anyone tried switching to the 1150GS handlebars. Beemer boneyard says that they will bolt up and have a 5" rise. It looks like it would put in a perfect riding position. I just don't want to dump $100 a set to find out I can't make them work.

Thanks,
Dan...

You may have issues with cables and wiring lengths.

riceburner is right. I don't believe the cables, as they are, would make the distance. I have the GS bars though if you want to try them. As it is, I found that the front end of my bike moved much easier once the bar back/risers were removed.
