Rockster bars on an RR?

I know, most everyone reasonable one goes up and back not down and forward, but any reason I can't try Rockster bars? I have about an inch of clearance at the tank at full turn which means that the Rockster bars must be straighter as well as flatter. Any problems with wiring and cables having more slack?
