Clutch Bleed
I have lots of info on how to bleed the brakes and my ABS but no information on how to bleed my clutch lines. I have a 2004 R1150R with ABS and bought the Badin DVD's on maintaince but it does not mention the clutch bleeding procedure.

That helps a lot, thanks. One more quick question I have a set of speed bleeders for the brakes and clutch is there anything special to putting them on? I do not want to get air in the lines if I unscrew the originals to screw in the speed bleeders.

Re: Clutch Bleed
When I first looked into the idea of replacing with Speedbleeders, there was/is some controversy in various corners of teh interwebz about the speedbleeders being too long, and thus not seating correctly. It was solved by grinding down the tips just a bit. Never bothered with the speedbleeders, but every time I wrestle with that damn clutch fitting on it's wiggly, semi rigid cable, I wonder why I didn't.
As far as putting the SB in, you will have nasty toxic brake fluid coming out of the orifice so just be prepared for that. Once you've finished the bleeding process, you shouldn't have any air issues. Good luck.
Oops one other thing: if you still have the original grub screw fitting, and are going to remove it, mine was attached with locktite, so you may want to hit it with some heat prior to removing.

Finished bleeding all fluids, ABS, Brakes & Clutch. Went fairly easy did not use my speed bleeders. I did grind down the clutch speed bleeder but replaced the grub when I was through. The stock bleeder nipples worked fine will probably put the speed bleeders up for sale. Now I am good for at least another year. Thanks for everyones help.

Hi guys, quick question. You mentioned some Badin DVD's where might a sojourner procure such 'Star-dust', my quest has been fraught with many incidents whose charm would have been said talisman! Seriously though, I need all the direction I can get maintaining this behemoth.

Over time I have gotten more out of this forum than I have contributed.
For instance see viewtopic.php?f=2&t=22745 for a predicament I recently got myself into that this forum got me out of.
That's why I'm only too happy to help.
