Hi Guys,
I had my RHS Throttle body rebuilt. It has been a nightmare. I have followed Cycle Rob's instructions and disconnected the throttle cables and adjusted the BBAS to the same values then balanced the re-built side using the throttle stop screw (the blue painted screw that "shall not be touched.")
Anyhow, it will idle now (before it would stutter and die.)
My issue is that I am trying to do a normal throttle body balance now that the the throttle plate planes are set. To get the idle speed anywhere near 1100rpm I need to screw the BBAS completely shut on both sides. This suggests to me that the throttle cables are both holding the throttle bodies to far too open at idle. I want the BBASs at about 1.5 turns out, and the idle correct.
Do I have to screw both throttle cables in or out? It seems like both TBs need to be "more shut" at zero throttle. Or am I completely off the mark.
Rs,
Sol.
