Texas Hard Tail - show on US SpeedTV!!!

Post by Acacia »

Am I the only one that feels embarrassed to watch it?

Contrived, atificial plot lines and BAD acting.

If this is Texas' best - I am glad I live some 300 miles South of Dallas!

God it is truly awful. Speed used to show way better stuff in the 08:00 - 10:00 slot than this crap. Now they have Two Wheel Tuesdays on at 07:30 and 10:30 which is terrible! Tuesdays used to be great for bikes on Speed. Now it really does suck.

Agree...may even be worse than the Dueling Morons of OCC.

I only watched part of one episode--the one where the beautiful Debbie models the lingerie, but was forced to turn it off when they moved on to the fat guys in the shop. My theatrical advice is: more semi-nude Debbie.

For a brief time, though, I though it was some damned fine television....but that's just me.

I think I watched about 5 minutes, including commercials. Then went to Bond; always good for a "happy" place :smt071

If it wasn't for the T&A, it would have absolutely no redeeming qualities...

Socal wrote, "I had read that it is a remarkably accurate protrayal of life in TX." Is that State 'profiling' .... by a Californian? Mmmm....

I think the blame is on Speedtv - they have changed a good motor racing channel into a bad entertainment series consisting of really bad soaps and monday morning 'quarterbacks' for NASCAR that are on everyday and all day of the week.

Remember Speedvision? Less talk and more racing.

At least OCC end up building something despite the 'walrus' complaining about everything.

It's pretty hard to watch, but I like the fact that it's a campy, toungue-in-cheek, poorly executed jab at the other reality shows that take themselves too seriously. In the 15 minutes of the one episode that I forced myself to watch, I was glad I didn't hear "we knew we were gonna be close on this won, but everything went together perfectly at the last minute."

I'm with Pat on the Build or Bust. My only complaint with Build or Bust is that they seem to do a poor job picking builders. I know they want the show to come down to the wire, but it seems like, more often than not, they pick someone that insn't even close in the last week.

Yes, that is exactly right. All true.

I'm facisnated how these new reality shows pick up this rough and tumble characters with absolutely no social skills.... texas hard tail, milwakee iron, the tutles, even build or bust.....that's what happens when there is no creative talent in the world of TV.........

I rather watch Judge Judy and the food channel....errr, the latter for it's content only

According to the site (Texas Hard Tail), it is, "The somewhat true, totally unreal life and twisted times of Rick Fairless."

So there you go, "somewhat true." It does have real motorcycles in it. Understand that I'm only guessing about it having real motorcycles in it for I've never seen it. The other chopper show was quite enough for me.

I am hoping against hope that this is just summer filler. About the onliest thing worth watching on SpeedTV is the actual racing. I imagine that the economics of the situation are such that the little time that they devote to motorcycles is dictated by some "research" they've done that indicates that motorcyclists don't watch anyway.

Build or Bust got renewed and Russell Mitchell is going to be there twisting the irony around the necks of the fools who step in to show how foolish they are. Except for the "in" guys who manage to build one from the ground up. I'm sorry but I just don't get it...

There must be more and better stuff out there somewhere. God knows they don't spend much money on the shows they do since they got rid of Motorcycle Week...

10 seconds of the commercials was enough for me. Never watched the show.
