Cat converter
I’m wondering if the catalytic converter under my 1150 would heat up the drive casings and affect the seals.

Re: Cat converter
I've had my '02 'R' since August '02, I reside in Phoenix and ride regardless the temp .
For about 6 months a year the average high temp is in the 105-107 F range sometimes it even gets hot, 115-120 F is not uncommon !!
Road surface temps in the 180-200 F range .
I have not seen any issues with heat for coming up on 70,000 miles .
I don't think the cat converter will cause any issues .
