One of the mirrors was scratched up by the PO from tip over. Finding OEM’s too small and expensive I bought these Chinese mirrors with M8 X 1.25 threads. I sawed 12mm off the threads and cleaned them up on a bench grinder. Used the stock nuts.

For a comparison I test rode the OEM on one side and the universal mirror on the other. The after market had a much larger field of view and was less affected by vibration. Yes there is a slight distortion in the outer edges, nothing that effected my rear view. I’m not using these for shaving.
Did a all day 300+ mile ride reaching 100 mph. They worked just fine. At less than $15 I bought a second set for spares.
Here are some pics with them mounted on the R. They certainly look better and ride lower than the dated round mirrors.
