Clip for Side Stand Switch

Post by Bogdan »

My side stand switch got loose and is hanging away from the side stand. Needless to say the bike can't go anywhere - so much for meeting the guys for a 4th of July ride. I believe the switch is held on by a clip. Probably this clip bit the dust for some reason. Here's the strange part: I did the usual and did a searched with google. I can't find this clip or even the switch for that matter - plenty of diagrams of the side stand but not the switch. Any advice/info appreciated. Oh yeah...Happy 4th to fellow Americans - native born or, like me, naturalized.

There's quite a few side stand/center stands, with switch on e bay.
You'll need to investigate further for that clip..

There's probably others but there's a parts fiche here:
https://www.ascycles.com/BMW-Motorcycle ... PartsTable

and if the link doesn't work just go to https://www.ascycles.com for the parts fiche, look under 'general electrical system' then sub category 'switches' as it shows the side stand switch and the locking ring with parts numbers.
