A friend of mine is only gonna get 2500 miles out of his rear Pirelli Scorpion(STR maybe). His KTM 1290 has 160 horsepower and he is resorting to Rain mode to save tires. LOL

I was going to Suggest TKC70.

I have been kinda impressed with the Anakee 3 tires on the F800GSA, but I have a set of the Motoz Tractionator GPSs in the basement waiting to be installed. Dunno if the fit the 1150R.

TKC 70 look just OK, but the rear center tread looks smoother than the Shinko 705's. I'm leaning towards the Shinko's at this point, Wayne's final report back about mileage will most likely nail it down.

I thought the Anakee 3 were decent for road and gravel riding on the 800GS, but I just mounted a set of Motor TractionatorGPS tires on the 800. I only have 50 miles on them, but they seem good so far.

Tires have done great. My Texas trip was a blast, about 3600 miles total. I've 97K on the bike now. About 11,000 on the front and it still has more tread depth than a new street only tire (like a Raven 009). Rear has near 8K and it's probably got another 3K at least left. I squared it off a bit running all those straight roads in Texas! I averaged about 80 mph I reckon. Seems like everyone between Va and Texas runs about 10 over. I think these 705's are keepers for me. They'll be my choice from here on. I love the secure feel they give me if I happen to get on dirt or gravel. And I've become accustomed to the slight vibration they give.
