Unlike many of the British Bikes I've owned very few bits seem to fall off the R1150, However recently one rear footpeg managed to escape, considerately leaving behind the pin.
These pegs are assembled with a 6.3mm spring loaded ball bearing which is worth remembering DAMHIK. These ball bearings must be specially manufactured for BMW as who ever heard of that 6.3 bearing!
6mm Catapult ammunition works fine and I now have 99 spare balls to replace the next escapee, all for £2.50
