Outstanding! Love the photos. You've found the perfect campsite. I finally removed the Ztechnik Vstream and am considering the Parabellum. How tall is your girlfriend? How does she like it???

Thanks!

She is 5'6" and that screen on the 12R is the BMW touring screen. A perfect compromise between body protection and clean air for the helmet.

Cheers!

I was used to you riding the R, but looks like you've relinquished it to Nancy. She and I are the same height. Maybe the beemer screen will actually work for me too.

Yeah, it's been Nancy's bike since the NineT came home... but it's days in the Lost household are very numbered, there's a new 2015 R1200Rwc with our name on it. :D

A few more.

Although it's painful to look at a downed R, you just gotta love her spirit for adventure.

The new R, white with a red frame is on my wish list.

That is one awesome looking bike! (I'm a little partial to the black with stripes) ;)

Thanks, I hear it is the fastest colour :p

Lots of info on here I'm trying to digest. My bike is pretty well set up, but there is always more accessories to add :)

I try to avoid them as well, they tend to smash all your bike if you hit them. Same as wombats, they look soft and cuddly, but they are basically boulders with legs.

Can you tell me how you mounted the case similar to the pelican? I really like that style.
Thank you.

If you're talking to me, here's the old thread with the mounting info, still the same mount but now I use a HPRC 2200 case with a panel mount SAE connecter to get juice to the 12v>USB charger. It's an excellent 100% everything proof tank storage solution, been on my bikes for 8 years now.

Three generations of BMW Boxers helping each other out.

The 07' had new Pilot Power tires that were getting moved to the new kid on the block R1200R, while the NineT was used to break the beads during the tire swap. Win win for everyone (except the 07' which got the old Z8 tires...)

More than likely this is the last time I will be wrenching on the trusty 07' 12R.
Unless I decide to part it out before selling it...

Any chance you'd part with the touring screen before selling?

Rock City, MT: Little known spot that gets few visitors except the local teenagers that go there to drink and neck. Not on most maps and there are no signs marking the location. 9.6 miles north of Valier, Montana along the Two Medicine River.

350 miles round trip from our spread. 13 miles of gravel and two track. Interesting place.
