I think it's worth the higher of the numbers you've mentioned. You might want to wait until spring when more people are bike shopping.

I hope that was the case and yes i am not in any rush to sell it, its paid, i am not selling it because i need the money so its really not a rush of any kind, if i do decide to put it up for sale i want to make sure it goes to the right person 8)

Looks like NADA average retail is right at $8,500. I have never had any luck selling a motorcycle for close to full retail, even if it is low mileage. NADA low retail is closer to $6,500. Trade in at the dealer is probably even another step lower. I doubt if you could get $9,500 for a 2009, or even $8,500. Advertise it as low as you can if you want to get responses.

A motorcycle of that age, with low miles and well equipped is worth as much or as little as you can get for it. Books do a poor job of predicting the sale price of middle age motorcycles. Ask what you think is fair, be ready to adjust your price and be patient.

As described, $8500 is more than fair.

Hey nylife

With the loss of your friend it sounds like you are done with riding. That's entirely your call. The quickest way to move a Beemer is to remove every accessory you can and return to original. Then list it for the lowest price you can live with. And then accept less. Beemers are hard to sell. The market is narrow. Sell it to the first person who indicates true interest. Then spend a few weeks selling off the accessories on gumtree and Craigslist. Other Beemer fans will love your bits.

When there's one item left to sell, keep it. Put it on a shelf in your shed, office or wherever.
