Lowered center stand

Post by Mustang Man »

I have just installed a set go Wilbers shocks that have been lowered 25 mm. I tried to cut and weld the stock center stand which was too long. I cannot get it to the proper length. Does anyone know of a lowered center stand or at lease a solution to my delima?
Thanks,
MM

BMW actually offers a lowered centerstand and sidestand, used on their low suspension model R12R (which I think was offered from '10 on..)

RealOEM is a bit confusing on the part: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showpar ... Id=46_0929

Lists 2 of them for "vehicles with lowering" - I'm certain there is just one. The part crosses over to the RT for the same production range.

Max BMW's on-line parts fische - shows 01 46 52 7 720 791 - as being the PN for lowered vehicles. The other number RealOEM came up with is "Not for use on vehicles with lowering.."
