Back in the fold

Post by Eagle6 »

Knew I would eventually succumb to another 'R' and I found a real nice one. 2012 in red with just over 2,500 miles on the odo. Fully loaded with heated grips, rack and box, pannier frames, ESA, ABS and sports screen. Arrives next Monday.

So I suspect you're out riding it somewhere.. hows it doing? The red ones seem to be the best, and that's exactly what mine was like when I got it - as 3rd owner, it had about 2,000 miles on it.

Here are photos as requested. I'm sure it looks like every other red R1200R.

I hope you noticed the BMW tail box Don. It's on for the moment but I'm afraid when it gets time to tour your 'favourite' alloy monster will take pride of place. LOL

Congrats - it looks great except for the tail trunk. No company has managed to make a good looking tail trunk that can take a full-face helmet. But the damn things ARE so useful.. I've resisted buying a hard one, I'm still using the BMW soft-tail-trunk, it's crossed the country 4 times, been to Canada a bunch of times, and so far - it hasn't failed me. Best part is - 4 clips and it's off the bike.

I've got the large BMW rear bag and it's really good for touring. The only downside is the lack of security.
