Re: Just joined
Welcome. After you get settled and meet a few of us, we'd love to hear some first hand accounts of F-ST ownership.

Re: Just joined
Cheers guys and thanks.
The 800 is a great bike! The engine is very solid and good power though after riding my brothers 1200ST the 1200 defintely (obviously) has those few extra ponies that make things abit more exciting. The only thing I would say against the 800 power is it is very linear so some would say bland but as with any bike,be in the right gear and the right rev and it flies 3rd gear, 5000+ rpm is magic
I have had mine just on a year and done 10000km and have had no issues at all and I have ABS (for those that have read the 800 forums site!..). Fuel economy is unbeleivable, average of 24 km a litre at all sorts of speeds. This would be the one thing that would hold me back from getting the 1200 which isnt quite as good but understandable.
Tours very well, loves the twisties, great on gas, just about perfect...

60 mpg is real nice.
I am afraid to rie some of the new bikes, since I am happy with the 1150, but the 800 bikes are interesting with the same power, but less weight.

Very different power band though. Go ahead, give one a try...Biff's R wrote:but the 800 bikes are interesting with the same power, but less weight.
